Obviously they wouldn't have used that exact phrase, but the idea of leaving out short words like "is", using "me" or their name instead of "I", etc. seem to be pretty popular in culture, where did this come from?
The earliest reconstructed languages are full and complex, like the ones we speak now. It's possible that in the very early stages of language it might have resembled that (e.g. very simplistic compared to ours), but as far as I know there's no factual basis for that kind of talking.
I imagine it was inspired by foreigners speaking their languages badly.
