I've been told it is off a trainer plane from WWII but I'm not sure even though my grandfather and great grandfather fought in the wars. http://imgur.com/a/TCPGn
Most of these propellors were made for the Avro Anson, a multipurpose patrol/training aircraft. The Anson was redesigned with metal propellors and so there are many wooden propellors which survive from an over-zealous initial contact. Ansons were commonly used a crew trainers by guys who ended up in Lancasters. Such as my father.
