Basically he makes the claim that archers would have been able to perform, and would work as he does in the video. However, I was under the impression that most, if not all, ancient battles were fought using the column formation (sort of like what you seen in the total war series). So, my question is, how accurate is the video, and if it is accurate, how often would it have been used?

Tl;Dr Lars Andersen is an impressive trickshooter, but he uses a bow with no more than 30-40 lbs drawweight perhaps as low as 15. Historical warbows start with 60 lbs for the very lightest bows, ie. one that can harm unarmoured soldiers, but the average seems to be form 100-150 lbs, with the top extreme at 200 lbs.
