I'm curious along the lines of refusing a military order or something like that. Do we have any such sources in cuneiform, hieroglyphics, phoenician, ancient chinese, or such?

Is there any particular reason you clarified "after humans invented the alphabet"? Because cuneiform, hieroglyphics, Hanzi, etc, are not (purely) alphabetic systems.
