Good sources/journals on the rule/life of Gaius Julius Caesar?

I have to give a speech to persuade my class about how/why Julius Caesar was a good & just ruler.

I've looked around, but only found a few good solid journals/articles detailing his rule, most of them focus on a bunch of random things.

I'm mainly looking for details of his rule, politics in Rome during his life, stuff like that.. not things comparing Caesar to Alexander The Great and all..

So, anyone have any ideas on good scholarly journals? Thanks for any help!

One of the best ancient sources we have of the empire is from Suetonius who wrote biographies on the "Twelve Caesars". This series of biographies begins with Julies Caesar, and ends with Domitian. Perhaps this may shed light on his character, and what he did for Rome during his time.
