HELP!

I'm doing research into my ancestry, and I've found this record of the heraldic visits of Devonshire in 1531, 1564, and 1620.

On page 479 it mentions the marriage of Jugo Vowell to Alice Hooker, daughter and heir of Rich. Hooker of Hurst Castle, Co. Southampton. The year of the marriage is not listed, but three generations later, John Vowell died in 1493. However, from my research I've seen that Hurst Castle in Hampshire was not built until 1541. How can Alice Hooker be from a castle that wasn't built for at least 50 years? Was there another Hurst Castle before this one? If he simply meant that Alice was from Hampshire, why didn't he say that?

Can someone help my figure out what's going on here?

Additionally, I've looked at the heraldic visitation of Hampshire, but I can't find any mention of a Richard Hooker or an Alice Hooker.
