The Aphrodite of Knidos was a relatively famous sculpture of Aphrodite, quite a lot was written of it because of how well made it was, as well as how risque the subject matter was. It became a tourist attraction and there is a story about a young man sneaking in to see the statue at night and trying to have sex with it, although obviously no one really knows if thats true.

Many classical Greek artworks survive to us because the Romans admired them and therefore copied them.

For instance, the original Discobolus, one of antiquity's most famous statues, no longer survives, but is known to us from numerous Roman copies made.

You could also include things such as Augustus' Res Gestae. Whilst not strictly art, it was distributed across the Mediterranean in inscriptions. The original was on bronze columns outside of his Mausoleum in Rome, but the text is known to us from a version found in Ankara, Turkey.
