In Russia, what were the main mistakes made by the Provisional Government between February and October 1917 that lead to their downfall?

  1. They were intended to continue WWI, bolsheviks promised immediate peace.
  2. They were reluctant to provide land ownership for the masses.
  3. Kerenskiy (head of Provisional Government) in a few weeks before October coup had an agreement with General Krasnov that Krasnov's troops will enter Petrograd to protect Provisional Government from opponents. But later Kerenskiy intended that troops must not go to Petrograd, because he decided that Krasnov will became more popular and will oust Kerenskiy.
