I know there's a lot of myths about Ragnar. Are they just assuming the myths are all true and putting everything into this TV show or is everything based on what we know is true based on real history?

Also, just a recommendation that if there are particular aspects of the production that you're wondering about, asking a more specific question will likely attract more/better responses
This show is so constantly being brought up on /r/badhistory for its bad history that it was voted into the April moratorium -- that is, for April, no one can post a criticism of it, to give us all a break.
