A couple of things for you. No biggie, just advice really:

1. If you are going to use the term "aboriginal", please be specific as to the country you are talking about. Your post mentions "The Aboriginal People of Australia" right at the very end, which focuses on what you mean. But remember, the term "aboriginal" is generic and refers to "inhabiting or existing in a land from the earliest times or from before the arrival of colonists; indigenous."

2. The "Out Of Africa" theory is still the best we have that accounts for the anthropological spread of homo sapien.

3. Yes, there is some evidence from anthropological diggings in Australia that contradicts the time-line of the "Out of Africa" theory. But most think, including me, that is more about what we DON'T know rather than what we do know.

4. Any theories relative to Australian Aborigines being the original race, post homo erectus, are simply not substantiated and are non supportable. Also, it really fucks up the whole "neanderthal" thing.

For your information, I am Australian and "aboriginal" on my mother's side going back two generations.

As for how Australian Aboriginals "rank"? I'd say maybe a 1.5 on Agent J's "shitometer". Ordinarily, we don't produce that much excess mucus.

Another point I wish to raise concerning the origin of the Aboriginal people of Australia and how that may lend itself to theories that they may be the first of the species "homo sapien"....

The theory of the disappearance of Australian Megafauna and the coexistence of the Australian Aborigine must be mutually exclusive. Let me explain further....

IF the Australian Aborigine had evolved and co-existed alongside the time of the Australian megafauna, therefore lending credence to a "out of Australia" theory, then you would expect an equilibrium developing between the hunted animals of the time and the human population. Obviously, over eons, a species can't over hunt their prey. To do so would mean extinction.

Compare that to paleontology records as we know them today. The Australian megafauna disappeared almost overnight relatively speaking.

That would tend to suggest a new species of animal was introduced to the land mass at the later part of their existence. The theory is, it was man immigrating through the Indonesian islands, past Papua New Guinea and on to the then Australian mainland whereupon they discovered a paradise of fat, juicy animals to hunt.......wombats the size of tractors, 15 foot tall kangaroos, 25 foot long crocodile creatures that existed out of the water and, of course, the legendary marsupial lion.

There is anthropological and paleontological evidence that suggests that yes, for a while, the earliest Australian Aboriginal people and the megafauna existed alongside one another. But that also coincides with when Australian megafauna disappeared altogether.

The logical conclusion is uncomfortable, but it is quite clear......the Australian Aborigine may have been the first of our race to bring about extinction.

Anyway, I'll leave that thought with you. I don't think it's a condemnation. It could be just a fact of life.

It's a word that originates from a New South Wales (NSW) Australian Aboriginal tribe that has been accepted by most "mobs" around the country.

"Koori" means "our people".
