Does anyone know a good website for taking history classes? Interested World History, and Military History. Free is great, but I dont mind paying up to $100 if the class is of good quality. No interactive teachers needed, but would like something with good powerpoint/slides like Kahn Academy. If the quality is good with a lot of visuals I would consider higher prices
There are a couple of video lecture courses on Open Yale Courses:
I did the European Civilization, 1648-1945 course and enjoyed it a lot. The course works a lot better if you read the book that goes along with it A History of Modern Europe, written by the same guy who teaches the course. The book is expensive if you try to buy it new, but if you look for it used on amazon you can pick it up for quite cheap (particularly if you look for the older editions).
