As part of my research for my degree I'm analysing 'guides for dying' from Early Modern England. Two of these are William Perkins, 'Salve for a Sick Man', and Richard Baxter, 'Directions for a Peaceful Death'. Does anyone know of any other similar articles?
EDIT: By Early Modern I mean 15/16/17th centuries, Tudor and Stuart period, English Reformation etc
I'm not sure exactly what "Early Modern" covers, but you could check out Ars Moriendi from the 15th century. It was a book on how to die a good death from a Christian perspective, and was influenced y the Black Plague a few decades previous.
