I was watching a documentary on the incas and spanish conquest, and as the story came to discuss the Inca attack on Lima, it used this image to illustrate what Lima looked like. A pang of nostalgia I felt as I recognized the video game Age of Empires III. You may notice that the documentary's representation, all smoke comes from L-shaped buildings. Edit: I watched the rest of the documentary, it most definitly is from AOE. Still, my question remains if the models used by this game are historically accurate.

My question is, did the early Spanish colony Lima actually look like that? Consequently, are the architectural models of this game historically accurate enough to use in this fashion?
