It seems like theres always some new prophet in the middle east or Europe. We learned of Jesus and Muhammad and Mani and Bab from the middle east. And there are the leaders of new religious movements in India and America like Hare krishnas, Guru Nanak of the Sikhs, Joseph Smith of Mormonism, the Quakers, Shakers and Anabaptists, L Ron Hubbard.
But I can't think of any from Asia or Africa. Either its the same kind of Buddhism, or their indigenous religion. Otherwise, they don't seem to have as many new religion founders. Am I wrong? or Why is this?

Ever heard of Buddha? He was a pretty important Asian prophet. Confucious could also be considered a prophet, but not really.
Technically Jesus and Muhammad are Asian prophets, they were born in Asia after all; and Moses was an African prophet since he was born in Egypt.

Idk anything about Africa, but many African cultures never had forms of writing so much was written in European languages or Arabic. The ones where European literary languages came to be used may have had prophets, but dogmatic literary religions weren't that common besides Christianity. The ones where Arabic writing was common were beholden to Islam so any prophets were killed and memory of them suppressed.
