Ideally something accessible to a enthusiast as opposed to some giant scholarly treatise.
I am reading "The Rise of the Tudors: The Family that Changed English History" by Chris Skidmore at the moment. I like his writing style- it's not dry like some textbooks can be. I'm only 50 pages in so I can't currently comment on much of it but it seems like a solid read.
