Why the Jew hatred?

by ocantu1987

Just got through watching schindlers list and I ask myself why do they hate the jews so much. The germans looked at them like they were rats not people and it definitely is a dark period in history.

I looked up why hitler hated the jews, but it seems its alot more complicated, i didnt find a clear answer.

can someone explain to me this hatred? did the germans believe they were doing good not evil with the senseless murders? does anti-semitism still exist today?

Hitler despised the Jews for supporting the Treaty of Versailles, which meant steap reparations for Germany after WW1. He considered them selfish, wealthy, and essentially traitors of Germany.

At that time many felt this way. They considered the treaty the reason for their "great depression". In reality, Germany didn't suffer as great as some let on, as Germany failed to abide by most of the stipulations put forth in the treaty.

And yes anti-semitism runs rampant to this very day. Neo-Nazism especially.
