Can someone recommend resources on daily life in 20s-30s Japan?

I can find plenty of resources for other eras (including the present of course), but not much about the era just before WW 2. Basically, I'd be interested in learning a bit about differences in typical attitudes, cultural assumptions, etc. between pre-war and modern Japan. Possibly with an emphasis on day-to-day things.

I would highly recommend Miriam Silverberg's Erotic Grotesque Nonsense, which highlights the Western shift in Japanese cultural values during the 20's and 30's. It's very interesting to see how the Roaring Twenties affected the growing cosmopolitan Japanese.

Donald Keene's, So Lovely a Country Will Never Perish covers mostly the war, but there is a bit about prewar, as in, immediate prewar. Perhaps looking at his bibliography might help you find more sources where you're looking!
