I am not fully knowledgeable about other uprisings against Communist governments, but it seems the outcome often turns violent. Is there something people today can learn from how Czechoslovakia dealt with their frustrations and were able to agree on a resolution?
It's my understanding that these revolutions were led mainly by upper class, burgeios-- those who would greatly benefit from usurping a Communist system. Thus, with less civilian participation, these revolutions saw less common fighting between the current government and protesters/revolutionaries and were more diplomatic in nature.
