Hi,
I am trying to help my wife identify a medal (or maybe an award/decoration) she found among her grandfathers things.
Her grandfather served in the Norwegian navy (seems to have served onboard HNorMS GLAISDALE during D-Day) during WWII and was in the merchant navy in 1945.
Thanks for any help or tips for what this could be.
Doesn't seem to be a Russian/Soviet military award.
It appears to be a znachki or lapel pin.

As stated originally, it seems to be a znachki from Leningrad.
Mod note for those considering responding: Yes, the Cyrillic says "Leningrad", which is something many people can easily say, but this is AskHistorians, so if you can not provide a full answer regarding this item, please do not comment. Thank you.
