What were Argentina's "plans" with the Falklands if they had won the war?

by Doncuneo

They dont really have much of a legitimate claim to the island so it would pretty much be conquest, what would have it meant for the Island and its people in the short and long term?

Would its 2k british citizens been deported? the Island repopulated with loyal argetines? Military Occupation?

Why were they so hotly contested? Strategic importance, or just the UK needing to not cave?

Excuse me?

I think you'll find the Argentine claims to the Malvinas are pretty good. Certainly they're better than those of a country thirty-two hours away by air.
