Just wondering how they changed from one dynasty to another, and then how they are currently under the Islamic Republic? Minorities include Christians, Jews, Ba'hais, and Sunni Muslims. (Let me know if I forgot anything :)) Also separate question, why did Imam Khomeini disband the Majlis in 1981? Were they not on his side?
Information on the Qajari era on treatment of minorities would be very appreciated. I can't find much information on it in the Arabic or the Farsi wiki, and it would be nice to know if any reforms regarding their treatment were under the authority of Ahmed Qajar or the Majlis of Iran.
Also, regarding the treatment of the Ba'hais, how were they under the Pahlavi dynasty? The religion did not pop up until around 1911, so the Qajari probably did not much to them, but they are extremely repressed under the Islamic Republic.
Regarding the Christians, how many left Iran after 1979, and why?
