I am not sure this is what you meant but, Prometheus in Greek mythology created mankind from clay and Atina breathed life into them. He also did quite a bit to help mankind at the expense of the Olympian gods. But he is a titan and not a Olympian god and is not considered god of men, nor is he the god of gods.
