3. With all that said...I think you might find it a bit easier to do this if you instead asked "what if WW1 never happened?" Think about it--one of the major causes of WW2 was the awkward ending of the First World War. And then you've got all kinds of interesting questions to speculate on. Would the Soviet Union ever have existed? If Germany and the UK hadn't knocked the tar out of each other, would the US be a world power? Would there still be enormous multi-national empires led by dynastic families like the Ottomons, Hapsburgs, or Hohenzollerns?
