One instance I know of is during the Chicano Movement when Mexican-Americans (or Chicano/a's) at Denver West High School participated in a 'blow out' or 'walk out'. On March 16, 1969, at least 150 Chicano students at West were protesting daily racist remarks by teachers and faculty, and inequality for educational opportunities. The protest began as non-violent, but when the students began to move outside of the school they were met by police who threw teargas and physically assaulted and arrested several of them.

Your using of the term "Hispanic" is interesting. Many Hispanics are identifying more with the term "Latino." But both terms can include South and Central Americans, and Caribbeans, that speak Spanish (along with Mexico.) while Mexicans were engaged in civil rights movements in the south west, many Islanders such as Cubans and Puerto Ricans where engaged on the east coast. Perhaps either narrowing down your query or specifying all of Latin Americans in the US, might help draw additional replies.
