Why don't you start with a few of the arguments you came up with during your research, and let people critique them or expand on them? You'll get more answers if you show that you've done some work yourself.

People may also respond more to specific questions ("How has Lenin influenced __?"), since most historians aren't interested in "more important" questions. I realize it's your teacher who came up with the question, not you. Just giving advice on how to get more responses.

Is this a homework question? It says in our rules: Our users aren't here to do your homework for you, but they might be willing to help. Remember: AskHistorians helps those who help themselves. Don't just give us your essay/assignment topic and ask us for ideas. Do some research of your own, then come to us with questions about what you've learned.
