Is accepted among history scholars that the Josephus' works where he refers to Jesus mere forgery? The Null Hypothesis and Occams's Razor principle can tell us something about the existence of Jesus?

What is the evidence against and for this view? I happen to found a comment in regard to this topic and I decided to ask here for insight.

I'm on my phone right now so I'll have to look up the specific thread and comment in the FAQ in a bit, but while part of Josephus' work was altered by later Christians, there originally was a mention of Jesus. So some of the wording was changed but Josephus did mention Jesus and it was not a forgery
