This isn't an academic source, but in an interview with Al-Jazeera, Kenneth Taylor, the Canadian ambassador to Iran played by Victor Garber in "Argo," says that he and some remaining embassy staff fled the country a matter of hours after the Americans. The Canadian embassy was closed, he says, for the next eight years.

Now, my speculation is that by this point almost all the Canadians who were in Iran before the revolution had left by January 1980 (more than two months after the hostage crisis commenced in November of 1979), as the country was in a pretty significant state of disarray. I can't speak to whether there were any reprisals against any Canadians left in Iran, or even whether there were any Canadians left.
