This is an extremely complicated question that can't be summed up simply with the adoption and admiration for Greek culture or with the contempt for the same culture. Different Romans held different opinions on Greek things, and somethings the same Roman could have wildly divergent opinions depending on context. Greek culture was a very important influence on the Romans but it was never one that was unreservedly or uncritically adopted.
