Thee Germans and the Italians fought against the British in North Africa from 1941 to 1942, and against the British and Americans until 1943. From 1943 to 1945 the British and Americans had forces in Italy fighting the Germans, and from June 1944 onwards until the end the were western allied forces in northwestern Europe. The largest part of the Wehrmacht's strength however, was focused on the Eastern Front from 1941 to 1945.
