I should clarify that I'm asking about the production and distribution of alcohol. You always hear about "thousands of barrels of wine" and stuff like that, but you never hear about who was supplying it. The barrel manufacture and distribution alone must have been a nightmare.
Why weren't there any alcohol corporations? Did the beer makers just bust their asses with paid day labor for a season if some Medieval douchnozzle decided he wanted a Spring kegger with the local lords and nobles?
