Apologies if this is not the correct subreddit for this question, but perhaps some of you history-inclined folks might be more familiar with archiving and curating I am.
I came upon a large stamp collection from the 1920's with stamps from every country from around the world.

It is not a complete collection, but is pretty substantial. I want this to get into the right hands to be properly preserved, and I wouldn't necessarily be opposed to a finders fee, but I suppose that's another story.
Anyway, who do I reach out to in order to get these looked at? Would some sort of auction house be appropriate as the buyer would likely know what to do with them?

I, incidentally, am also going through some 1920's international stamps. Odds are, there's somebody nearby you who's very interested in stamps. If you live in a small town, like I do, consider contacting a local historical society to see if they know of anyone; mine has one or two fellows who they keep on call whenever we get a donation of stamps. If you live in or near a larger city, there might even be a group of stamp collectors that you could contact for help- there might even be monthly stamp fares with appraisers for folks in your situation. Lastly, you might also contact local antique stores or hobby shops. Before you work with anyone, I would recommend tidying up the collection- not necessarily mounting any of them, but making sure all those looses stamps are in their place, and making a list of which ones are missing/present (whichever's easier).
