I feel as though there are only 2 french kings who I can actually name off the top of my head, Louis XIV and Louis XVI, and one of those is just because he was executed. If I think about, maybe also Henri IV (for his conversion to catholicism and nothing else) and Phillip IV (for doing a couple of things, but I can't remember exactly what). Besides those 4 guys, I feel as though I have no real knowledge of most of the french kings. However, I know quite a few English monarchs (Henry VIII, Elizabeth, George III, William the Conqueror, Richard III etc), and important events that happened in their reign. Is this just a byproduct of living in a english speaking country, or is there a historical reason for the french monarchy's forgettability? Why do none of the French monarchs seem to make it into world history classes outside of Louis XIV and XVI?

Well I mean if you can name Louis XVI, then you should be able to name 15 other Kings as well.
But seriously, it will be to do with your education. You've said it yourself, English speaking countries focus on English history. In the same way that the average person would know next to nothing about the Swedish or Spanish monarchies, apart from when they were related parts of English history. E.g Phillip II of Spain is quite well known because he was married to Queen Mary.
Well ass /u/sharryhanker said there is the matter of education. Even in France those who don't have historical knowledge ( or basic memories ) will surely mention Louis XIV and Louis XVI as the kings they remember and know ( though " know " might be the wrong term, let say they know these names ).
However if you speak of monarchs I am sure you know about Napoleon I , maybe Clovis as well and Charlemagne.
Forgettable might not be the most proper word, it is more that you don't know them because your education did not focus much on them.
