For example, during British imperialism, are there any sources that show that the Indians and Chinese thought of the British as more attractive than their own? Or are there any sources throughout history that show that native populations who first encountered whites thought of them as beautiful? If I recall correctly, I remember something about how some native americans thought of the Spaniards as gods when they first encountered them. If that's true, was it because they saw whites as instantly more attractive? Or I remember that the Ottomans took hold of Eastern Europeans. Was it because they saw the Europeans as more attractive?

P.S - The reason I ask this is because there have been many debates on whether whites are inherently the most attractive race, or whether it's the result of centuries of colonization, imperialism, and in the new age, Western advertisement. Many minorities in Western countries often feel that whites are more attractive, but many factors present in Western countries could have contributed to their ideas of attractiveness. Answers will help give me insight on whether whites are considered attractive today simply because of Western pervasiveness, or whether they are truly considered attractive by non-whites in general.
