One of us says that there is, by percentage, more rape now-a-days than back then. The other says that there was a lot more rape back then compared to today

If you didn't have statistics on hand (whether or not they exist or could tell us anything is another matter)....on what basis was the discussion of prevalence of 'medieval rape' versus 'modern rape' being conducted?
