I wanted to ask a community of historians this for a while, glad I found this sub here. My co-worker who is working on a book about this very same idea is understandably very passionate about this idea and I just can't figure out if he is just plain old passionate or plain old crazy.

He brings up numerous parallels he believes that exist between both cultures. As a guy with no history background, all I can do is either choose to believe or not believe. Googling the various names and ideas he brings up routinely takes me to dubious sites that are trying to sell me healing stones! So I was really glad to find this sub here! :D :D

Any thoughts or comments on this subject?
