My great-great grandfather emigrated from The Kingdom of Prussia after the failed revolution of 1848.

His wife's family came from Stettin and Koenigsberg and stayed in Prussia/Germany but everyone who stayed was ethnically cleansed by the Red Army in 1945, according to her eldest daughter's letters.
I've added my great-great grandpa's wife's portrait from the 1870's as well.
I do not know if this person on the button was a family member in the Prussian Officer Corp or possibly some young royal figure that they admired.

Do you have a larger picture of it? At that size, it looks like George V or possibly Nikolai II, but I don't know how likely either of those would be!
