Grandpa Died. Found these framed medals in his storage. What are they?

My grandpa died and as I was going through his old stuff, i found a bunch of what seems to be medals or pins. He had a PhD in History and thought you might be able to shed some light on what these might be!

They may not all be medals of honor. On the second panel is the original (pre-1950s) 7th Gurkha Rifles military insignia, as seen here. But without being able to see the medals better it would be hard to identify them.

They appear to be mostly unit insignia or "regimental brass". Many people collect these.

They appear to be British unit cap badges.
