I was dicussing with a co-worker about it and was curious to actually know if their was any information avaliable. If they did eat them, are Neanderthals similar enough to us to it would have a taboo feel to it?
Edit: I don't mean eating them to extinction either, I meant just on occassions where food might have been scarce.

Both human and neanderthal bones have been found with tool marks indicating they were cut up by tool users in the time and area where both would have been living, but I don't believe there is any evidence of which species actually did the killing and eating (or whether they were killed for food or butchered as part of a funeral ritual or what).
