I was wondering if there was anything like modern news. Obviously no printing press, but was there any way of messages being disseminated throughout the empire? Either by the Empire itself, or by some other organisations?
Check out Acta Diurna and Acta Senatus. One was like a daily news, the other was kind of like Rome's C-SPAN.
