So, you could x-post to another history sub, e.g. /r/history, /r/askhistory, or a regional sub, e.g. /r/russia. Alternatively, if you'd like to ask something in this subreddit, it would be acceptable if the question asked for fact/probability rather than opinion, e.g. 'what stories have been verified to be true?', but for a better chance at substantive responses, ask questions about specific aspects/anecdotes, e.g. 'did x really happen?'
