Hello everyone! Today I come before you to ask for help on a little project: the AskHistorians Showcase!
What is the Showcase you ask? Well I'm so glad you asked! The showcase will be a page of some of Askhistorians greatest answers presented under 10 general categories. The purpose of this showcase is to show our readers, other historians, and interested people what exactly it is that we do here! Furthermore we will be linking it to a greater community page for interested parties to learn even more!
In order to do this however, we need your help in selecting and nominating some of your saved, favorite, or top quality answers from this subreddit!
How will we proceed? Well, I will make 10 separate nomination threads over the coming weeks for you to nominate your favorite answers in the ten categories below. Today's thread is for Medieval World!

For clarity, how are we defining "Medieval" here?
This post got absolutely no attention falling as it did on the Reddit blackout day. Missing are the posts of /u/georgiusflorentius , /u/thegreenreaper7 , /u/whoosier and /u/butter_milk. It's a small but intensely well rounded group of western medievalists we have here.
Two answers I really enjoyed were this answer by /u/vonadler, giving a detailed, practical description of a viking raid, and this answer by /u/JDHoare, giving an overview of Norse magic beliefs.
Super late to the party, but this series of posts on Joan of Arc's trial by /u/TheGreenReaper7 is definitely worth adding.
