In this TED talk, the claim is made that Alberto Giacometti made a piece "The Palace at Four in the Morning" in 1932, kicking off a "meme" of 4am being a time of inauspicious activity. This claim doesn't really ring true, and the whole talk feels like someone looking for a pattern where there isn't one. Any help is appreciated.
