I understand that you are trying to ask this in good faith, but the wording of your question is a just a big bullseye, hence the downvotes you are getting. Would it be too much trouble to restate your question in more academic terms? "What are the current debates concerning Holocaust study in academia?" for instance, or "What is the state of the Functionalist/Intentionalist debate regarding Holocaust studies?" I believe would be a similar question, without the added baggage of whistling to actual deniers.
