Recently joined /r/empirepowers and started as Taiwan, however I've had a lot of difficulty finding information about the island in between the 13th and 15th century. Specifically, I'm looking for evidence of Chinese migration to the Island in the 1400s, as well as info on the Kingdom of Middag.

Take a look at Manthorpe's book Forbidden Nation which has the third chapter dedicated to the buildup to the 1500s and then the next chapter starting about then.
His book is somewhat superficial and i have some gripes with some of his translations of terms, but otherwise its an entirely readable and generally accurate overview of the period. Its usually the book I direct people to who are wanting to take a first look into the countries history.
As for evidence of migration, there are records of Hakka traders and Min immigrants around that time. A search on something like Google Books can give you some specifics.
Otherwise if you can narrow down what specific questions you have about which points, i can give you something more substantial when im actually sitting at a computer.
For Middag, im not sure we really know anything from before the Dutch in the 1600s and Chinese sources of the early 1700. So that might be beyond your scope anyway.
