The founders were judeo-Christian and the constitution specifically mentions that our rights are endowed by our creator... It's no secret that the country was founded by Christians with Christian beliefs. Most of our law is based off of English common law that was directly influenced by first the Catholic Church and then the Protestant Reformation as well as the Church of England.
