I'm afraid you're going to need to be much more specific with this question. Both Korea and Japan have published more than one history book, and thousands of years of history have 'actually happened.'
If you could please specify which textbooks you're referring to and which events you're asking about (and I suspect you're referring to discussions of the Second World War), that will be very helpful to anyone hoping to answer your question.
