Could the Byzantine Empire survived if somehow Constantinople did not fall in 1453?

The Byzantine Empire suffered a serious setback following the sack of Constantinople in 1204 at the hands of the Venetians of the Fourth Crusade. The destruction of the city essentially destroyed the Byzantine state, leading to the creation of three successor states. One of the successor states would conquer the other and retake Constantinople and thus reunite the empire, but by that point the Ottomans were growing even stronger.

By 1453, the Byzantines were essentially on life support - their territory was limited to Constantinople and its surroundings, as well as a good pit of the Peloponnese and a few Greek islands. Someone was going to overrun Constantinople, it just happened to fall to the Ottomans. There was no immediate threat to the city other than the Ottomans though.
