Let's try to keep all religious discussion out of this.
It is mentioned in several old texts that Jesus was being taught the trade of craftsman, or builder, by his father as was jewish tradition.
It is also mentioned that Jesus wasn't exactly the best apprentice around, as he was clumsy with worldly material.
Now of course a lot of these old texts are not from the bible, and could easily be myths. Let's look at this in a purely historic viewpoint.
Does it mention anywhere else in history that Jesus was clumsy or bad at tasks that use the body, hand-eye coordination etc...?

I've studied many relevant ancient source we have on the Historical Jesus from the first three centuries of the Common Era and I've never read/heard anything about Jesus being clumsy.
I've equally never heard of him not being a good apprentice, since no source even directly says he was a carpenter. It was always Joseph who was the carpenter which thus implies that his own son would have followed in his footsteps. Not to mention, the actual word they use to describe Jesus' occupation in most ancient manuscripts (such as the Codex Vaticanus and the Codex Sinaticus ) is "tekton" which can translate to a number of 1st century lower class "blue collar" jobs, one of them being a carpenter or could have been a stone mason or a metal worker.
This to me sounds like a myth, and a rather strange one at that.
What Jesus did before his ministry is unimportant to both early Christians as well as any non-Christians since it had little to no bearing on how he lived his later life.
