To what extent did spectators of fights know about the diet of the gladiators? Was it emulated at all in the same way people might read a muscle magazine today and recreate a diet of a bodybuilder they like?
How different was the standard Roman diet different to the diet of the gladiators?
Do we have an accurate idea of how muscular the gladiators actually were apart from possibly embellished depictions?
I've never heard that they were vegan. Is there a primary source that is cited for that?
