Does anyone knows about any good documentaries (in English) about the history of the formation of Spain? Meaning, the union of Leon and Castela, join with Aragon, anexing Navarra, conquering Granada and the ongoing issues with Portugal.

One of the most read historical books is perhaps J. H. Elliott's Imperial Spain. It may be an old book, but it has great longevity and still widely read and cited today. It's one of my favorite books, I highly recommend it and it covers the period you ask about.
